After giving the viewers a heavy dose of entertainment on the most sought after reality show ‘Bigg Boss 4’, the audacious Dolly Bindra has become a bankable celeb in the entertainment industry today.
Grapevine has it that the dramatic Dolly ji with her much adored thunderous signature style will soon be spotted on the NDTV Imagine’s daily soap titled ‘Armanon Ka Balidaan Arakshan'.
The Punjabi dynamite will be seen stepping into the boots of a mother-in-law named ‘Kabootri Mai’, who never missed any chance to trouble her bahu. Undoubtedly, Dolly was perfect for the role.
As per the rumor mills, Bindra has been offered a pay package of around 1 crore for the telly series.
In a conversation with the IANS, Ravinder Gautam, producer-director of the show said, “Dolly Bindra is definitely in demand and was best suited for the role. We can't divulge the exact amount but it is around Rs.1 crore. The amount is confidential and an understanding between us and Dolly.”
The terrific entertainer will feasibly be introduced in the show ‘Armanon Ka Balidaan Arakshan’ on Feb. 15.
Dolly was also approached for ‘Ram Milaayi Jodi’
Much before she was offered a character in ‘Armanon Ka Balidaan Arakshan’, the presenter of the Sara Khan starrer telly show ‘Ram Milaayi Jodi’ had approached Dolly and expressed his desire to cast her in his show.
Buzz has it that as Dolly was offered a better payment for ‘Armanon Ka Balidaan Arakshan’ and was even disinclined to work with her alleged rival Sara Khan, she turned down the first offer.
A source said, "She had committed to them and she kept them waiting. They least expected that she would do a volte-face."
When asked how serious Dolly was with the present undertaking ‘Armanon Ka Balidaan Arakshan’, Gautam said, “Yes, Dolly was offered a show with Sara Khan on Zee TV 'Ram Milaayi Jodi'. But she has not signed that show and accepted our offer. The moment we narrated the character to her, she accepted there and then.”
