Despite all the efforts from the well-wishers for bringing the frenemies together, the high-flying Bollywood Khans, Shahrukh and Salman, preferred to stay aloof from each other.
Apparently, when SRK’s apology on the sets of Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’, didn’t seem to do any good to these good friends' sour relationship, then Aamir, a common friend to them, came forward with his befriending strategy.
With a hope to bring them closer, Mr. Perfectionist invited both the friend-turned-foes, Shahrukh and Salman, to the wedding reception bash of his nephew Imran Khan.
But all went in vain, as SRK and Sallu were already up with their respective plans of keeping a safe distance from each other.
Sallu leaves the party early
Everyone at the occasion were anticipating that Sallu and Shahrukh would at least be greeting each other formally.
But, according to the tabloids, Salman who has a reputation of turning up late for the affairs, out of the blue, attended Imran-Avantika’s reception bash in the early hours of night.
The hunk, who was accompanied by his brother Sohail Khan, left the social gathering within half an hour. It’s also learnt that the actor used the back gate for moving out.
Shahrukh arrives late for the party
On the other hand, King Khan had informed Aamir beforehand that he had a shooting schedule that day and thus, would be turning up a bit late for the function.
Probably, in an attempt to avoid Sallu, Shahrukh appeared at the party along with his wife Gauri Khan around 2:30 a.m.
A source said, “Shah Rukh came in with wife Gauri Khan very late into the night (around 2.30 am). He was seen apologizing profusely to Aamir for the delay, before heading to wish the couple.”
What worsened things between the two?
Rumors are doing the rounds that SRK’s apology on a public platform was not well received by Salman, who thought it to be a publicity gimmick.
When Salman seemed to be disinclined towards burying the hatchet, Shahrukh too started behaving indifferently.
“SRK has done his part. Now if Salman decides not to bother about it, he feels it’s Salman’s problem and not his,” said a source.
