Murray vs Djokovic Key Moments

Novak Djokovic has claimed the Australian Open 2011 with a straight sets win over Andy Murray. Here are the key moments.

Murray 1-1 Djokovic: An inside-out forehand from Djokovic, which could have earned him three break points, goes narrowly wide. It gives Murray his first point of the match and he goes on to level at 1-1 after saving a break point in what proves to be a marathon game.

Murray 1-2 Djokovic: A poor overhead from Murray goes long, preventing him from going 15-40 on the Djokovic serve. The game goes to deuce but Djokovic holds.

Murray 4-5 Djokovic: Murray struggles to put any pressure on the serve of Djokovic, who holds to ensure the Briton will be serving to stay in the set.

Murray 4-6 Djokovic: Murray opens game 10 with a double fault. Djokovic then earns two set points when he prevails in a 38-shot rally and Murray goes long to hand the first set to the Serbian.

Murray 4-6 0-2 Djokovic: Djokovic holds comfortably then puts Murray under immediate pressure, earning a break point, which the Scot saves with a big serve out wide. However, Murray nets a backhand to give his opponent a second opportunity, which he takes after correctly challenging what appears to be an ace.

Murray 4-6 0-4 Djokovic: Murray nets to hand Djokovic triple break point, then goes long as the Serbian establishes a double break.

Murray 4-6 1-5 Djokovic: Murray finally holds with an ace, snapping a run of seven straight games for Djokovic, but not before he is forced to save another break point.

Murray 4-6 2-5 Djokovic: Murray gets an unlikely first break with some aggressive returning and some lose shots from his opponent.

Murray 4-6 2-6 Djokovic: Djokovic turns defence into attack with devastating effect to bring up set point point, then Murray nets as he is broken for the fourth time in the match.

Murray 4-6 2-6 1-0 Djokovic: The third set begins in the best possible fashion for Murray, with a break of serve, which he seals with a sweet forehand passing shot.

Murray 4-6 2-6 1-1 Djokovic: Murray can't consolidate the break as an unforced error hands the 2008 champion two break points, then a careless overhead gives him the game.

Murray 4-6 2-6 1-3 Djokovic: Murray manages to save six break points, but a seventh proves one too many as some stunning defence from Djokovic and a perfect passing shot puts him a break up.

Murray 4-6 2-6 2-3 Djokovic: Murray produces some dogged defence of his own to bring up two break points, and he converts as Djokovic nets a drop shot.

Murray 4-6 2-6 3-5 Djokovic: Djokovic goes on the attack again, and he works the Murray out of position before the Briton nets on break point, leaving the Serbian to serve for the title.

Murray 4-6 2-6 3-6 Djokovic: It's all over. Djokovic holds to seal the match with and Murray's wait goes on for a first grand slam title.
