The show portrays his journey from a hermit to a house holder. Sati who is daughter of Daksh, a staunch Lord Vishnu devotee, is drawn to Shiva against the wishes of her father. An extensive story follows, of Sati falling in love with Shiva, from her point of view of the Mahadev, the most charismatic God of Hindu mythology. The serial was earlier titled “Sati”, for Star Plus, but was then handed over to Life OK, a new channel. The show went on air on 18th December 2011 and is currently broadcast every day from 8:00 to 8:20 PM. This is story of the Lord Shiva and Shakti. It is an elaborated narration of Shiva and Shakti’s separation and union, their journeys together effecting and shaping up the world. The story will narrate Shakti’s human incarnation as Sati, her re-union with Shiva, her separation from him as Sati and her final return to him as Parvati. It currently holds the highest TRPs on television series.
