Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma has proposed to set up a huge fund worth USD 9 billion in a bid to finance the India-Japan infrastructure project.
The proposed fund, to be jointly set up with Japan is aimed to finance the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project as well, which is estimated to cost over USD 100 billion as an investment.
India and Japan are scheduled to sign a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) in Tokyo on Wednesday.
