Former world number one Tiger Woods opened his season with a three-under-par round at the Farmers Insurance Open in California.He is five shots off the early lead.
Woods shot a bogey-free round of 69 but his three birdies did not come on any of the par fives on the North Course.
Birdies on the last two holes from South Korean rookie Sunghoon Kang saw him lead the field with a round of 64.
John Day had a round of 67 which was the best score on the South Course.
